URL parameter forwarding means that you can add or overwrite the URL paramters that are part of the shortened LONG_URL, by adding them to the LINK.
For Example:
you shortened: https://yourdomain.com/page123?utm_source=Robin into https://hopla.to/EHRMR
Without editing the LINK you want to update the utm_source only on a couple occassions or placements.
When you use https://hopla.to/EHRMR/?utm_source=Batman the resulting LONG_URL will become:
https://yourdomain.com/page123?utm_source=Batman
Alternatively, if you want to add a URL paramter you can use:
https://hopla.to/EHRMR/?utm_campaign=Tuesday the resulting LONG_URL will become:
https://yourdomain.com/page123?utm_source=Batman&utm_campaign=Tuesday
These updated parameters will allow you to manipulate how visitors show up in your reporting.
